Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) detained Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq on Wednesday (4/3/2026) after a sting operation in Central Java capital of Semarang, naming her the sole suspect in a multi-billion rupiah outsourcing procurement scam.
“KPK is starting the investigation stage by naming one suspect, namely FAR, as the Regent of Pekalongan,” said KPK Deputy Asep Guntur Rahayu, as reported by antaranews.com.
The agency alleges Fadia’s family-owned firm, PT Raja Nusantara Berdaya, monopolized tenders across 21 government agencies from 2023 to 2026. Of the Rp 46 billion in contracts, Regent Fadia personally received Rp 5.5 billion.
She claimed ignorance of procurement laws due to her background as a former dangdut singer, arguing her role was purely ceremonial. The regent reportedly delegated all bureaucratic oversight to the Pekalongan administration secretary.
The KPK dismissed her defense, citing her decade-long political career. She faces 20 days of initial detention at the KPK building for violating anti-corruption laws.
