Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali has reported 35 international flight cancellations as of Wednesday afternoon (4/3/2026) following airspace closures triggered by the escalating conflict between U.S.-Israeli forces and Iran.
The disruptions, which began on 28 February 2026, have affected major Middle Eastern carriers including Emirates, Etihad, and Qatar Airways, leaving thousands of travelers stranded.
"As of Wednesday at 1 pm, a total of 35 international flight schedules have experienced cancellations due to regional airspace closures," said Gede Eka Sandi, the Communication and Legal Division Head at the airport, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The cancellations impacted 20 departures and 15 arrivals, primarily on routes to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha, affecting approximately 5,905 departing passengers. Airport management has established a dedicated help desk and coordinated with Immigration to process Emergency Stay Permits (ITKT) for those stranded.
While Middle Eastern routes remain paralyzed, other international operations continue normally as authorities maintain close coordination with AirNav Indonesia to monitor the volatile situation.
