inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Edi Hasibuan, a criminal law observer from Bhayangkara University Jakarta, expressed his support for the Anti-Corruption Corps of the Indonesian National Police (INP) and the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police in investigating three corruption cases that have garnered public attention.

The three cases are the alleged corruption in coal supplies to PLN, Asabri, and Jiwasraya, as well as the debt settlement of PT Krakatau Steel.

Edi believes that the handling of these cases is part of the commitment of law enforcement officials to eradicate corruption, which has caused state losses amounting to trillions of rupiah and has had a widespread impact on public interests.

He urged all parties to respect the ongoing legal process and refrain from any actions that could hinder the investigation.

"We ask all parties to respect the legal process. Corruption is an enemy of the state and society. We believe the public will support the police," Edi said on Thursday (7/9/2026).

The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) member from 2012–2016 assessed that the case investigation process was carried out professionally, transparently, and impartially.

According to him, INP have demonstrated their commitment to prosecuting anyone proven to be involved in corruption, including those suspected of obstructing the investigation process.

He emphasized that any attempt to intervene or obstruct law enforcement must be processed in accordance with applicable regulations.

According to information provided by the police, the investigative team had conducted searches in at least 12 different locations.

During these searches, investigators found several pieces of evidence, including cash in foreign currency, which will be further examined as part of the evidentiary process.
