Inp.polri.go.id - Central Lombok. The Central Lombok Sub-regional Police in West Nusa Tenggara distributed 8,000 liters of clean water to residents in Bilelando Village, East Praya, as part of their response to a prolonged drought impacting coastal communities.
“This is our expression of care for people affected by the water crisis,” said Central Lombok Police Head of Public Relations, First Inspector Lalu Brata Kusnadi, on Wednesday (9/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The drought has caused significant hardship, especially for coastal households struggling to meet daily water needs. Clean water was delivered using police tactical vehicles, including water cannon trucks and tankers.
“We hope this clean water helps meet basic needs such as cooking, drinking, and hygiene,” he added.
The effort is part of the police’s ongoing humanitarian outreach amid extreme weather conditions affecting several areas in Central Lombok.
