Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Kemenkopolhukam) Mahfud MD asks law enforcements to investigate the allegation transaction during 2024 General Election following the findings by Center for Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis (PPATK).
Mahfud explains that the law enforcement such as Attorney General’s Office, Indonesian National Police (INP), Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu), or Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has to respond to PPATK findings as it could led to money laundering case.
“It has to be investigated by the attorney if reported to the attorney’s office, by KPK if reported to KPK, by INP if reported to INP,” says Mahfud on Tuesday (12/19/2023).
Moreover, he explains that PPATK is a law instrument that has been formed by laws to handle cases like those. Therefore, a further investigation has to be continued by law enforcement as data gathered by PPATK is not just detailed, but also valid.
“I am the chief of national task force for money laundering case, so I know. And this is a solid work from PPATK to find this kind of case,” adds Mahfud.
Previously, Chief of PPATK Ivan Yustiavandana says the transaction reports who are allegedly linked to the money laundering on 2024 General Election have increased on the second semester of 2023.
PPATK reports that several campaign activities are reportedly not have any transaction movements in the special campaign fund account (RKDK).
