The North Sumatra Regional Police prepares heavy equipment at integrated posts in landslide vulnerable areas during Christmas and 2024 New Year Eve. “In accordance to the instruction of North Sumatra Regional Police Chief, every integrated posts have to prepare heavy equipment that could be moved quickly in respond to the disaster incident,” says North Sumatra Regional Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Superintendent Hadi Wahyudi on Tuesday (12/19/2023). Moreover, Hadi reveals according to North Sumatra Regional Police data, there are 45 areas landslide vulnerable areas. In anticipating the disaster, police have coordinated with related stakeholders such as National Search and Rescue Agency, Regional Agency for Disaster Management, and other related offices. “These heavy equipment placement aims to ease joint personnel work in handling landslide at road to anticipate Christmas and 2024 New Year Eve traffic.
