inp.polri.go.id -  The Water and Air Police (Polairud) of the Maluku Regional Police held a patrol with the Navy Main Base IX/Ambon, on Friday (16/09/2022). This joint patrol of the Army and the Police was to oversee the distribution of subsidized fuel oil, while also securing safety and order in the Ambon Bay waters. "Our patrol with the Indonesian Navy was carried out in the waters of Ambon Bay and its surroundings," said the Director of Water and Air Police of Maluku, Commissioner Harun Rosyid. Joint patrols were carried out using Police Ship (KP) XVI-2012 and Rigid Inflatable Boat. In addition to carrying out patrols, the team also socialized the government policies regarding fuels to the maritime community. "We also give an appeal to fishermen in the waters of Ambon Bay and its surroundings, to always pay attention to their own safety when going out to the sea, and not to use fishing gear that is contrary to the rules/laws, such as potassium chemicals, explosives, and others, because it will damage the marine ecosystem," he concluded.
