Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, said on Tuesday (13/8/2024) that the country's achievements in the Paris 2024 Olympics have met their targets.

Indonesia won one bronze medal in badminton and gold medals in climbing and weightlifting.

Minister Dito praised the performance of the badminton, climbing, and weightlifting teams. He welcomed gold medalists Veddriq Leonardo and Rizki Juniansyah at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Tuesday night, noting that each gold medalist will receive a bonus of Rp 6 billion, as directed by President Joko Widodo. 

The amount is an increase from the Rp 5.5 billion awarded at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics,  according to antaranews.co

The athletes, including climbers Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi and Rajiah Sallsabillah, and weightlifters Rahmad Adi Mulyono and Nurul Akmal, were greeted by Dito Ariotedjo and IOC Member Erick Thohir. 

Rizki, the first Indonesian weightlifter to win Olympic gold, and Veddriq were also part of the closing ceremony delegation for Indonesia.
