Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. Indonesia is ranked seventh globally in contributing to world peacekeeping missions under the United Nations (UN), according to the Indonesian National Police (INP) Head of the INP International Relations Division Inspector General Krisna Mukti.

During a ceremony for the Garuda Bhayangkara Force, part of the FPU 6 MINUSCA contingent in Ranca Upas, Bandung on Tuesday (23/8/2024), he said that Indonesia has deployed 3,364 military and police personnel since joining UN peacekeeping missions in 1989.

He emphasized that the achievement reflected Indonesia's commitment to global peace and the principles outlined in the 1945 Constitution's Preamble, as reported by antaranews.com.

Chief Krisna highlighted the benefits of these missions for personnel, noting that their international experience enhances their skills for domestic service, as reported antaranews.com.

On 11 October 2024, Indonesia will send 150 members of the Garuda Bhayangkara Force, including 122 men and 28 women, to Central Africa to support UN peacekeeping efforts.
