Jakarta Metro JayaRegional Police has deployed 1,318 joint personnel in anticipation of the announcement of the presidential and vice-presidential candidate pairs for the 2024 election at the General Election Commission (KPU) office, confirmed Police Senior Superintendent Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, the Metro Jaya Regional Police's Head of Public Relations, on Monday (13/11/23). The deployment includes 388 personnel from the Regional Task Force (Satgasda), 30 personnel from the Resort Task Force (Satgasres), and 900 personnel from the Under Control Operations (BKO) troops from Kodam Jaya, Mobile Brigade Corps (Korbrimob), and Bhayangkara Corps (Korsabhara). Speaking at the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) office in Jakarta, KPU Chairman Hasyim Asy'ari stated the closed plenary meeting held by the KPU before the official announcement. (ar/inp/pr/nm)
