Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.The Professional and Security unit of the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police organized social services to assist fire victims in Kebon Kosong, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi, the Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations,said on Thursday (23/1/2025) that the initiative focuses on meeting the health and basic needs of evacuees.
“We offered free healthcare, a field kitchen, and distributed masks, vitamins, medicine, and blankets. Priority was given to children, the elderly, women, and infants,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Medical teams provided general health checks, treated respiratory issues from smoke, and educated evacuees on hygiene to prevent disease in the shelter.
“With dense conditions and vulnerable groups, the risk of illness is high. Hygiene education is essential to keep evacuees healthy,” Chief Ade Ary added, adding that they.also spoke with evacuees to assess urgent needs.
