The Operation Mantap Brata (OMB) Task Force of the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police deployed 274 personnel for a large-scale patrol, ensuring oversight of the 2024 election campaign on Thursday (18/1/2024). Police Assistant Superintendent Purwanta, Head of Traffic Regulation's Sub-Task Force, stated their objective is to assess the situation, ensure orderliness, and provide security to the public throughout the election process. The presence of the police officers in the field is expected to contribute positively to ensuring the success of the democratic process, especially in the DKI Jakarta region, he emphasized. "As open campaigns approach, our primary focus is on maintaining vigilance for security. Additionally, we must prioritize the discipline of road users in the traffic aspect," he said.
