Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police continued to investigate the case of celebrity Clara Shinta, whose vehicle was forcefully taken by debt collectors a few weeks ago, which raised public concerns.
“People are actually worried, but they’re afraid to report (the illegal acts of the debt collectors) due to threats. However, since this case went viral, we have received reports and testimonies from many people about the threats,” said Director of General Crime Investigation Police Senior Superintendent Hengki Haryadi on Sunday (26/2/23).
He urged the public to immediately report any violence or threat by debt collectors and guaranteed that the police will take stern action against the thuggeries.
“We have our criminal justice system, including prosecutors, to protect the complainants. The public has our guarantee that any acts of thuggery that have raised their concerns will be responded accordingly,” the director said.
