Inp.polri.go.id - West bandung. The  Cisarua Police Office lost two officers who died in a tragic traffic accident while responding to the landslide disaster in Pasirlangu Village on Saturday. 

Assistant First Inspector Hendra Kurniawan and Assistant Second Inspector Muhammad Jerry Sonconery were traveling by motorcycle toward the disaster zone when they were crushed between two trucks following a sudden braking maneuver and a mechanical brake failure in the convoy behind the

"Our two members became victims of a traffic accident while actively involved in disaster relief operations," West Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Rudi Setiawan, on Sunday (25/1/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.

In recognition of their dedication, Indonesian National Police Chief (INP) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has granted both officers a posthumous one-rank promotion. Both officers Hendra and Muhammad were laid to rest with full police honors in their respective hometowns of Ngamprah and Cimahi.
