The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police has identified the man with the initials of AWR alias Deo alias Bocil as the main suspect of violent crime against a member of Indonesian Military Force (TNI) named Supriyadi, killing the victim. Metro Jaya Regional Police General Criminal Investigation Director, Senior Superintendent Wira Satya Triputra says that the suspect was arrested when he was in a bus going towards Palembang. “The suspect was intended to go back to his parent’s house in Palembang from Bekasi. Our team pursued him in his attempt to run away and tailed the bus he was in. We succeeded in stopping the bus and arresting the suspect in a restaurant at Sumur Waluh Street, Grogol, Cilegon,” report Wira on Wednesday (4/3/2024). Wira says that the suspect has killed a member of TNI soldiers after attacking and hitting him with a sword four times to his head. “Suspect swung his sword four times and hit the head and hand of the victim,” said Wira. In its conclusion, Wira states that the suspect will be charged with Article 355 paragraph 2 and/or Article 351 paragraph 3 carries a penalty under Article 355 paragraph 2, of 15 years, while Article 351 paragraph 3 carries a penalty of 7 years.
