inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti visited the victims of the SMA Negeri 72 Jakarta bombing and pledged to provide mental health services to help them recover physically and mentally.

Minister Abdul also wished and encouraged the victims for a speedy recovery.

"Today I was able to visit the victims of the SMA Negeri 72 bombing. After seeing their condition, I admire and am proud of their mental strength and resilience in facing this disaster. Of course, we as the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education will act swiftly starting Monday to provide every support to the affected students, teachers, and the entire school community," explained Abdul on Monday (11/10/2025).

In his statement, Abdul advised the students to remain optimistic during their recovery, and to continue to maintain their enthusiasm for learning.

Furthermore, he stated that the incident at SMA Negeri 72 serves as a joint evaluation to strengthen policies related to preventing violence and bullying in schools.

"We are currently in the process of issuing a ministerial regulation regarding school safety. We also encourage all parties to shift the educational paradigm to be more humane, comprehensive, and participatory. We also strengthen the role of teachers as academic, psychological, social, and spiritual companions for students, and as liaisons between schools and parents," said the Minister of Elementary and Secondary Education.

He also expressed optimism that the learning process at SMAN 72 Jakarta in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, would return to normal following the bombing on Friday (11/7/2025).

"I think, in general, judging by the condition of the children I met earlier, it doesn't seem like the recovery will take long, and hopefully, everything can return to normal and they can go back to studying as they should," the Minister added.

According to him, his party will collaborate with schools, the Jakarta Education Office, and relevant ministries for further action.
