inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi advises the police of Work From Anywhere (WFA) for the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and employees of State-owned Enterprises (BUMN) to reduce the traffic volume during the 2025 Eid Al-fitr.

“"We also propose a number of strategic policies such as WFA for employees, especially ASN and BUMN, to restrictions on goods transportation," said the Minister of Transportation, on Tuesday (2/18/2025).

The Minister of Transportation said that to anticipate traffic congestion during the 2025 Eid transportation period, the Ministry of Transportation has prepared an operational plan in all transportation dimensions, including land, sea, air, and railways.

According to him, this step needs to be taken considering the potential for public movement during the 2025 Eid transportation period is predicted to be quite high.

“This year’s Eid is very close to the Nyepi Day which falls several days before the Eid. This would create an opportunity for people to not only return to their hometown, but also to go on a picnic. We hope that the WFA policy can help reduce the traffic congestion prior to Eid,” explains Minister Dudy.

The Minister of Transportation admitted that since January 2025, he has visited a number of ministries to coordinate, in order to prepare for the 2025 Eid transportation.

"We need the support from various parties to make the 2025 Eid transportation a success. With this cross-agency coordination, it is hoped that the public can travel home and back for Eid safely, comfortably, and smoothly," said the Minister of Transportation.
