inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Minister of Cooperatives, Ferry Juliantono, attended an impromptu meeting with the Minister of Finance and BP Danantara.
The meeting was held to accelerate the physical construction of warehouses and outlets, as well as other supporting facilities for the Merah Putih Village Cooperatives (Kopdes/Kel).
The Cooperatives Minister stated that this acceleration is crucial to ensure the President's target of having all Kopdes built and operationally ready. Currently, the construction process has begun in nearly 5,000 villages and will continue to expand gradually.
Therefore, the Cooperatives Minister believes that all physical construction of warehouses, outlets, and other supporting facilities will be completed by March 2026.
"Regarding Kopdes funding, with a ceiling of IDR 3 billion per cooperative, some will be used for physical construction and working capital," he explained.
According to him, this is part of the government's support for cooperatives, both in terms of physical development and access to capital.
Meanwhile, the Head of BP BUMN, Dony Oskaria, stated that the IDR 3 billion (approximately US$300,000) disbursement per cooperative will be carried out in stages, based on the needs of each Red and White Village Cooperative.
"This way, Kopdes will become an economic model in the village. In this initial phase, all facilities provided are the same, the business model is the same, and the physical construction is the same," he explained.
