inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Social Affairs is ready to adopt an internationally standardized inclusive education model for implementation in several social centers to improve the quality of services and skills for beneficiaries of children with disabilities.
Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf stated that the educational model from the London School of Public Relations (LSPR) Institute will be adapted to the Ministry's social service centers across several regions.
The Jakarta-based international educational institution applies a high-standard educational model to its students with disabilities, enabling them to compete in both academic and professional fields.
"They also create a disability-friendly learning environment, complete with modern facilities and trained teachers. Therefore, the Ministry of Social Affairs plans to implement a similar educational model in 30 social centers throughout Indonesia," he said, as reported by Antaranews, Friday (October 24, 2025).
In addition to formal learning, LSPR also features skills training facilities, such as a practical kitchen and culinary laboratory, which train students with disabilities to produce products with economic value.
This program is considered in line with the direction of the Ministry of Social Affairs' policy which places empowerment as part of social rehabilitation.
The Minister of Social Affairs will focus collaboration on teacher exchanges, adaptive curriculum development, and capacity building for educators under the Ministry of Social Affairs to better prepare them to serve students with disabilities.
The Ministry of Social Affairs is optimistic that this practice will not only provide technical knowledge for teachers but also increase the self-confidence and independence of students with disabilities before they enter the workforce.
"This step is expected to accelerate equitable access to higher education and job training for people with disabilities in Indonesia," he explained.
