Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Budi Arie Setiadi implores community to be wise during 2024 elections. Budi himself wants the democracy festive would go safely and peaceful. “Use your social media wisely. Spread the spirit of unity and let us realize a good and peaceful political climate,” says Budi on Monday (10/23/2023). He says Election should be the momentum to maintain and solidify unity and integrity. Elections is not a competition to tear each other down by spreading hate speech. “Because this is just a contestation between us, not war against others. This is just a contestation, contestation that we held once every five years,” says Budi. General Election Commission (KPU) has set the schedules for 2024 Election through KPU Regulation Number 3 of 2022 concerning Stages and Schedule for the 2024 General Election. On the regulation, the election is set to be held on February 14th, 2024 to elect the next President and Vice President of Indonesia members of the People's Representative Council (DPR), Regional Representative Council (DPD), and Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD).
