Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) have prepared six steps in mitigating money politic violations during 2024 Elections. Moreover, the money politics are often occurred during campaign, calm period, and a vote count period. “The measures to anticipate money politic by Bawaslu are educational socialization and participatory monitoring. Second is through campaign inspection,” says Bawaslu Chair Rahmat Bagja in his press statement on Monday (10/23/2023). The third steps is by suppressing money politics through reports. Then the fourth is through investigation and law enforcement, and fifth is through sanctions and punishment. “The sixth anticipatory measures are through collaboration with all relevant stakeholders. These steps are to smooth our anticipatory measures in preventing money politics,” says Bagja. So far, Bagja says that Bawaslu continues to coordinate with General Election Commissions, attorney, and the police. It is hoped that the collaboration could prevent and eradicate the money politics during next year presidential and legislative race. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
