inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions strengthens cooperation with various related ministries ranging from the Ministry of Religion to the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education in optimizing village progress.
"Village areas cover almost 73 percent of Indonesia's population from around 75 thousand villages. In essence, building a village means building Indonesia, Advanced Villages means Advanced Indonesia," said the Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions Yandri Susanto on Monday (10/28/2024).
Furthermore, Yandri conveyed that the cooperation includes a collaboration with the Ministry of Religion in building the character of denizens resistant to online gambling.
Another collaboration is also with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and the National Food Agency which invites villages to supply the best food ingredients in the Free Nutritious Meal program.
Yandri stated that he wanted villages to participate in the Free Nutritious Meal program by becoming suppliers of raw food ingredients, such as tomatoes or spices.
The Village Development Ministry will also work with the Ministry of SOEs to ensure that all villages in Indonesia are electrified.
"Currently, around 3,000 villages are still without electricity. Therefore, we are working hard to light these villages for the era of Indonesian Independence," said Yandri.
Lastly, the ministry also collaborates with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education to strengthen educational facilities. According to him, strengthening educational facilities plays an important role in improving human resources.
