Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has confirmed that the cost of Hajj for 2025 will decrease, following direct instructions from President Prabowo Subianto to ensure cost reductions without compromising service quality.
Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs HR Muhammad Syafii announced on Friday (27/12/2024) that the proposed Hajj cost revision is underway, focusing on reducing expenses in key areas such as flight tickets, accommodation, food, and transportation.
"The revised cost will be presented to the House of Representatives for discussion in a working committee," he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The reduction is primarily aimed at the most significant cost component—airfare, which typically accounts for 35-40% of the total Hajj cost. Efforts to rationalize other costs are also underway to achieve an optimal balance.
The Ministry also seeks approval from the House for advance payments to secure contracts for essential services in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina. This step is crucial to ensure improved facilities for pilgrims and to maintain timely preparations for the 2025 Hajj season.
