Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) carried out an air medical evacuation for a Moto2 rider injured during a free practice session at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Central Lombok, on Friday (3/10/2025).

“Activation of the Air Medical Evacuation service was initiated after circuit medical staff assessed that the rider required advanced treatment at a referral hospital,” said Mataram SAR Office Head Muhamad Hariyadi, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The rider was flown using a Dauphin HR-3604 helicopter from the circuit’s medical center at 3.34 pm local time and landed 11 minutes later at West Nusa Tenggara General Hospital, where doctors immediately provided further treatment.

Basarnas highlighted the evacuation as proof of its integrated emergency system readiness for the international race. Two Dauphin helicopters, HR-3601 and HR-3604, have been deployed throughout the MotoGP event to secure riders’ and stakeholders’ safety.

The Mandalika race weekend, the 18th round of the MotoGP season, continues with practice and qualifying sessions before Sunday’s main race.
