inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. National Police explains that the odd-even plates policy at the tourist objects would be run situationally during Christmas and New Year holidays. The implementation would depend on the decision of the Regional Police.
"For example, at the regions under (Greater Jakarta) Metropolitan or West Java Regional Police, the implementation would be suited to the regional situation. The Great Headquarter is not the deciding one", Chief of General Information Agency of PR Divison of National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan, said on Thursday (23/12).
Chief of General Information Agency explained that the odd-even plates implementation would also be adjusted to the regency/city level. According to him, not every region would be subjected to such policy.
Police Grand Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan also explained that this policy has in accordance with the instruction of the Chief of National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, to avoid crowds that may lead into Covid-19 transmission.
"The implementation depends on the situation. No single implementation would be subject across all areas under the said Regional Police but in the smaller region. For example, West Java Regional Police (decided that) this regency get the implementation, but others did not. It adjusted each region's situations", Chief of General Information Agency concluded.
