National Police Headquarters, Pol. Inspector-General Firman Shantyabudi said the personnel assigned to this operation are expected to be professional and proportionate. "This troop title activity is a step to consolidate the perception and way of acting during operational activities in the field," he explained at the National Traffic Management Center (NTMC) Police Building, Thursday (12/16/21).
Pol. Inspector-General Firman Shantyabudi appealed to the assigned personnel to focus on security at vulnerable points. These include places of worship, tourist sites, shopping centres, and the distribution of essential goods. "There should not be disturbances that can cause a commotion during Nataru," explained the Head of Traffic Corps.
The 2021 Candlelight Operation will be carried out simultaneously for ten days, from December 23 to January 1, 2022. "Through this, it is hoped that the Police can provide maximum service so that the community feels helped and protected," explained the Head of Traffic Corps.
Previously, the National Police confirmed that they would eliminate checkpoint posts during the 2022 Christmas and New Year holidays. As his replacement, security and service posts will be established.
