inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. The Law Enforcement Task Force of Nemangkawi Operation arrested one of the leaders of Armed Criminal Group (KKB), Senaf Soll, in Dekai district, Yahukimo regency.
Director of General Criminal Investigation of Papua Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Faisal Ramdhani, explained that Senaf Soll was resisting, so he had to be shot by officers when arresting.
"Yes. He was arrested this morning. (He) resisted, so we have to shot him", Police Grand Commissioner Faisal Ramdhani said.
Director of General Criminal Investigation of Papua Regional Police said that until now, the leader of KKB is still treated in hospital due to the wounds during the shootout before the arrest. When arrested, Senaf Soll was with another KKB member.
The incident made Police has to paralyse the group during the arrest.
The Middle Officer of Papua Regional Police explained that several KKB members are also arrested by the Police. However, Faisal cannot explain the arrest chronology of other KKB members.
"Some people are also successfully arrested. But the focus is on Senaf Soll. He was detained with the others", The Chief of Law Enforcement Task Force of Nemangkawi Operation said.
Senaf Soll was suspected to involve in firearms ammunition selling Mimika regency. Senaf also deserted and joined the KKB of Papua.
