inp.polri.go.id - Papua. Nemangkawi Task Force is conducting sweeping in the approach of 20th National Sports Week (PON XX) in Papua. The armed fugitives would be hunted by the Task Force. Chief of PR Task Force of Nemangkawi explained, "The Task Force successfully arrested the fugitive from the three police reports named Ananias Yalak a.k.a. Senat Soll in Samaru street, Dekai district, Yahukimo regency, on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 5.30 a.m.". The reports submitted are as follows:
1. Police report No. LP/55/XII/2019/Papua/Res Yahukimo, dated December 1, 2019, about the Arson of Bank ATM of BRI of Dekai-Branch, Yahukimo.
2. Police report No. LP/38/VII/2020/Papua/Res Yahukimo, dated August 11, 2020, about the Murder of Dekai Electoral Commission Staff, Hendry Jovinsky, in Teh River Bridge, Dekai.
3. Police report No. LP/39/VII/2020/Papua/Res Yahukimo, dated August 20, 2020, about the Murder of a Person (Private Employee) named Muhammad Toyib in Bandara street of Dekai.
According to the arrest chronology, at 3.46 a.m., Nemangkawi Task Force and Yahukimo Departmental Police personnel, led by Chief of Yahukimo Departmental Police, moved to the target's location in Samaru street in Dekai district, Yahukimo regency. On 5.28 a.m., the team arrived and raided the location, arrested Ananias Yalak, aka Senat Soll, and arrested five other people (Pilas Matuan, Apius Tabla, Mekison, Sapuk Asso, and Abert Matuan). At 5.45 a.m., the team moved from the arrest location to Dekai General Regional Hospital to get a medical check for Ananias since he was shot on the left and right leg due to resisting and intending to run away during the raid.
Ananias Yalak, aka Senat Soli, is a man born in Yahukimo on July 23, 1996, aged 25, hold the Protestant Christian faith and work as a former Indonesian soldier. He is an Indonesian from the Kimyal ethnicity of Yahukimo and has an address in Gunung street of Dekai district, Yahukimo regency.
According to the Police Record, Ananias Yalak involves in cases as follows:
1. Owning/bringing Ammunition without Rights.
Senat Soll/Ananias Yalak, when still in the army, handed over 155 ammunition to Ruben Wakla. On September 10, 2018, at 10.06 a.m., Ruben Wakla went into X-Ray Checking Room and departing for Dekai, Yahukimo. Ruben Wakla was sentenced to two years six months in prison.
2. Arson of ATM of BRI of Dekai Branch, Yahukimo
. On Sunday, November 30, 2019, the BRI bank office of Dekai, Yahukimo, was burned down. After investigation, police determined that the perpetrators are Senat Soll/Ananias Yalak and Ariel Sonyap, aka Koroway (sentenced to three years in prison).
3. Murder of Electoral Commission Staff of Dekai, Hendry Jovinsky
. On Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at 14.20, in Teh River Bridge/Brazza River Small Bridge, there has been a murder of the Staff of Electoral Commission of Dekai named Hendry Jovinsky. Along with Kenan Mohi, the victim went to his sister's house, Karolina Pahabol, to deliver the medicine. When on the road home, Senat Soll and Temius Magayang (still a fugitive) block the motorcycle rode by Kenan Mohi. Using a long machete, Senat checked the victim's ID Card and then stabbed him.
4. Murder of Person (Private Employee), Muhammad Thoyib
. On Thursday, August 30, 2020, the victim named Muhammad Toyib was on the way to the airport. The perpetrators were hiding on the roadside. Another perpetrator, Yoel Mirin, shot the victim with an arrow until he fell. The victim tried to stand up and run towards Dekai. However, Yepi Magayang (sentenced to eight years in prison), together with Senat Soll and Temius Magayang (still a fugitive), chased the victim and hurt him with a machete until the victim died.
For the violations committed, he would be subjected to Article 1 paragraph 1 of Emergency Law No. 1 of 1951, in relation to, Article 55 of the Indonesian Criminal Code. He may be proven to be in common and without rights accepting, trying to get, handing over or trying to give, owning, bringing, owning the stock, keeping, transporting, or hiding firearms, ammunition, or explosives. He is threatened maximum sentence of the death penalty or life in prison or twenty years maximum in prison.
He also violated Article 187 of the Indonesian Criminal Code about crimes that endanger public security for the people or goods and threatened with twelve years or life in prison, and Article 338 of the Indonesian Criminal Code about crimes against a person's life and threatened with fifteen years maximum in prison.
