Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi said that there is no operational ban on freight transport during the 2025 Eid travel period, provided regulations are followed.

"The government enforces operational restrictions to ensure safety, security, order, and smooth traffic flow," he said on Saturday (22/3/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

Restrictions apply to trucks with three or more axles, trailers, and vehicles carrying excavation, mining, or construction materials. However, two-axle trucks may operate within permitted weight limits or under police discretion.

Regarding industry concerns over extended restrictions, the Minister emphasized balancing traffic management and freight distribution while prioritizing road safety.

To support affected logistics businesses, PT Pelindo is offering up to a 60% discount on storage fees for goods and containers from 24 March to 8 April 2025.
