Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Transportation has confirmed that direct flights from Singapore to Labuan Bajo are now operational to boost international tourist arrivals.
The inaugural Jetstar flight, an Airbus A320, commenced on Thursday and will operate twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays.
“With this route, international tourists from Singapore can now fly directly to Labuan Bajo via Komodo Airport,” said Mokhammad Khusnu, Acting Head of International Cooperation at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, on Saturday (22/3/2025).
Ceppy Triono, the Head of Komodo Airport, highlighted that the direct route allows tourists to reach Labuan Bajo faster without layovers. He hopes increasing demand will lead to more frequent flights.
Komodo Airport features a 2,750m x 45m runway, accommodating larger aircraft, and a passenger terminal with a capacity of 1.1 million passengers annually, according to antaranews.com.
