Inp.polri.go.id - Tanjung Selor. From 2 March to 17 March 2024, the North Kalimantan Regional Police initiated the Kayan 2024 Safety Operation over the weekend. The gathering and commencement of the road safety action occurred at the North Kalimantan Police headquarters parade ground in Tanjung Selor, Bulungan, involving all relevant stakeholders, including the military, police, and others. Deputy Chief of the North Kalimantan Regional Police, Brigadier General Dr. Golkar Pangarso Rahardjo Winarsadi explained that this operation spans across the jurisdiction of the North Kalimantan Police and its subordinate stations. The Kayan Safety Operation and Launching of Road Safety Action aimed to ensure security, safety, orderliness, and smooth traffic flow ahead of the Eid el Fitr holiday. Furthermore, it seeks to enhance public compliance with traffic regulations and reduce traffic accidents and violations. General Winarsadi highlighted that the operation targets both private and public vehicle drivers, two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles, and locations prone to traffic violations and accidents.
