The aid arrived at the Lumajang Police Headquarters, escorted by Operational Chief Bureau of North Sulawesi Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner R. Wawan Wirawan and the Head of Finance of the North Sulawesi Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Mulyono and the North Sulawesi Provincial of Regional Disaster Management Agency, Joi Oroh.
Shortly after arriving, the humanitarian aid entitled "Torang Cares for the Semeru Disaster" was stored in the Bulog warehouse, Lumajang Regency.
Police Grand Commissioner. R. Wawan Wirawan explained that the North Sulawesi Regional Police backed up from the province, especially the North Sulawesi's Regional Disaster Management Agency sent aid.
"This humanitarian aid is on behalf of the Regional Leader of North Sulawesi. So apart from the provincial government, there are also Police and Military who are helping our brothers and sisters affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru in Lumajang," explained the North Sulawesi Regional Police Intermediate Officer.
North Sulawesi Regional Leadership Chief Bureau hopes that this little attention from the Regional Leadership of Communication Forum of North Sulawesi Province can ease the burden on our brothers and sisters who are hit by natural disasters.
"Residents affected by the current eruption have spread out, so we don't know for sure at some of the target points that we are backing up. Furthermore, the assistance will be distributed to the victims by the Lumajang Police and Lumajang Regency's Regional Disaster Management Agency," concluded Pol. Grand Commissioner Wawan Wirawan.
Meanwhile, the Head of Regional Disaster Management Agency of North Sulawesi Province, Joi Oroh, explained that for this humanitarian aid, there were several types.
"Regarding the humanitarian assistance from the Regional Leadership Communication Forum of North Sulawesi Province, Sir Chief Operational Bureau and we immediately brought it to Lumajang, as a form of concern from the Regional Leadership Communication Forum of North Sulawesi for the victims of the eruption of Mount Semeru. The types of assistance include basic needs for food, clothing, prayer utensils, baby needs, toiletries, women's equipment or needs, and others," concluded the Head of Regional Disaster Management Agency of North Sulawesi Province.
