inp.polri.go.id – Medan. North Sumatera Regional Police provided psychosocial aid and scholarship grants for children affected by Covid-19. North Sumatera Regional Police recorded 110 children lost their parents due to Covid-19.
The event titled "Caring the Resilient Indonesia's Children" was held by the Chief of North Sumatera Regional Police and invited 110 children. Those kids are being given motivation for their life.
The Chief of North Sumatera Regional Police is happy because he is able to motivate kids left by their parents due to Covid-19.
"The kids left by their parents even suffered psychological (disorder) and became traumatic because they have no parents. We motivate and give them spirit", the Chief of Regional Police said.
North Sumatera Regional Police and Commander of I/Bukit Barisan Military Region collaborate with related stakeholders to conduct this activity as support towards the government's effort to alleviate the burden of people affected by Covid-19. In North Sumatera, Covid-19 cases show a significant decreasing trend.
"We will take care and help their school fund until the end to reach their ambitions. This is the help we provide. However, behind this Covid-19 pandemic, many griefs are being felt by affected families", he concluded.
