Inp.polri.go.id - Medan. The North Sumatra Regional Police deployed 1,138 personnel to secure the F1 Powerboat World Championship on Lake Toba.
"The security system, in collaboration with the I/Bukit Barisan Military Command, local governments, and PT InJourney, was put in place," said Police Senior Superintendent Hadi Wahyudi, Head of North Sumatra Regional Police's Public Relations, on Monday (26/2/2024).
He emphasized that the combined efforts of personnel aimed to guarantee security during the international F1 Powerboat championship, providing a safe environment for participants, spectators, and the public.
"To ensure safety, comfort, and to showcase Indonesia's greatness and success, especially since this marks the second time the F1 Powerboat event is being held," he added.
Maya Watono, Director of Marketing and Tourism Programs at PT InJourney, mentioned that logistics from various countries arrived at Belawan Port before being transported to Balige, the venue for the F1 Powerboat international motorboat racing event on Lake Toba on March 2-3, 2024.
"InJourney extends gratitude to the stakeholders for aiding in the clearance and departure of F1 Powerboat logistics to the race venue. Stakeholder support is vital for the smooth and successful execution of the F1 Powerboat Lake Toba event on March 2-3," she said.
