inp.polri.go.id - Mataram. The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Stop Sexual Violence Coalition (KSKS) appreciates the police's steps in handling the alleged sexual harassment case of a number of female students at the State Islamic University (UIN) Mataram.
"We have seen that police investigation on this case is in accordance with what was reported by the victim and what was admitted by the alleged perpetrator, we appreciate that," said NTB KSKS Representative Joko Jumadi after accompanying the police in reconstructing the case at UIN Mataram campus, Thursday (5/22/2025).
The alleged perpetrator with the initials W in this case is a lecturer who has now been deactivated from teaching staff at the UIN Mataram campus.
In the reconstruction of the case, the alleged perpetrator W demonstrate the 65 scenes from the alleged sexual harassment case against a number of female students.
The demonstration of the 65 scenes took place in two locations, namely in the alleged perpetrator's room in the UIN Mataram dormitory and in the meeting room of the campus secretariat building.
Following the activity, the NTB KSKS assessed that the police had obtained at least two pieces of evidence as provisions to determine the suspect.
"So, it is almost certain that in the near future there will be a determination of the suspect," said Joko, who is also active as a lecturer in criminal law at the University of Mataram.
He explained that his party also had collected information from seven people who were victims in this case. Some are still students and some are alumni.
According to him, victims of sexual harassment need to be encouraged to report the case, so of the seven victims, only three are willing to provide information to the police.
He said that the three victims had provided information on Tuesday (20/5) and this was the basis for the police to conduct a reconstruction on the UIN Mataram campus.
