Inp.polri.go.id – NTT. NTT Regional Police Food Task Force Toured Around Kupang City to Monitor Rice Price
The Food Task Force of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police along with NTT Bulog Office, NTT Department of Industry and Commerce, and NTT Agriculture Office inspects rice stocks in several market of Kupang City on Tuesday (2/27/2024).
Led by the Head of Industry and Commerce Sub-directorate of NTT Regional Police Special Criminal Directorate, Police Assistant Inspector Yan Kristian Ratu, the entourage goes to Kasih Naikoten Market, Oeba Market, and other rice distributor and Bulog Warehouse in Alak District for inspection.
The Unit Assistant 1 of Special Criminal Sub-directorate, Police Assistant Inspector Rendi Widyadharma, who accompanied the Head of the Sub-directorate, explained that the primary supply stock is still safe although the price is still going up.
“The rice price is around IDR 11,000 to IDR 18,000 per kilogram, with most of them are the premium rice due to price adjustment from Java Island. We will continue our monitor both in the distributors or the market to prevent rice increase, particularly ahead the Eid Al-Fitr,” says Rendi.
As of now, NTT Regional Police Food Task Force still not found the indications of hoarding in rice distribution. People are asked to stay calm while the Food Task force Unit is doing their best in ensuring the supply is sufficient for all.
