Inp.polri.go.id - Padang. The Padang City Sub-regional Police in West Sumatra provided free medical services to residents affected by recent flooding, as part of emergency response efforts carried out on Friday (12/12/2025)  at the Lapai emergency shelter in Padang.

The initiative targeted flood victims needing immediate health care, particularly vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and pregnant women.

“We are prioritizing the health of residents impacted by the floods, especially those showing symptoms after days of exposure to floodwater,” said Padang Police Chief Senior Superintendent Apri Wibowo, as reported by antaranews.com

The services were delivered by the Padang Police Medical and Health Unit , which examined around 300 residents suffering from conditions such as upper respiratory infections and skin irritation. Officers conducted health checks, provided basic treatment, and distributed essential medicines to prevent further illness.

The program is scheduled to continue daily throughout the emergency response period. Padang
