Inp.polri.go.id – Papua. Papua Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Mathius D. Fakhiri, inaugurates Bhayangkara TK IV Mimika Hospital. The inauguration of Bhayangkara Hospital, named Dira Cartenz, was also attended by Indonesian National Police (INP) key officials including Assistant for Chief of INP Human Resources, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo and Head of INP Medical and Health Center Inspector General Asep Hendralina. There are also other important invitees such as the representative of Joint Regional Defense Command III and Head of Central Papua Health and Medical Office. In his remarks, the Head of Central Papua Health and Medical Office, dr. Sumule, says that he and the provincial government fully support the building of the new hospital. It is hoped that with the new hospital, it would further boost the health service for the people, particularly in Mimika Regency. “The primary agenda that was aimed to be realized by the Governor is to boost the medical facilities. Because in Central Papua Province, there are still many stunting cases. In the future, we hope to further increase the life expectancy, suppress malaria cases and stunting,” said dr. Sumule. Meanwhile, Inspector General Mathius D. Fakhiri gave his appreciation to the construction of the new hospital as the second hospital in the jurisdiction of Papua Regional Police. He believed that the hospital would be able to meet the expectations in becoming the core of treating the emergency patients. "Bhayangkara TK IV Mimika Hospital will become a disaster response hospital if needed by security forces and the community," said the Papua Police Chief. In addition, Mathius also conveyed that INP is initiating to build more Bhayangkara Hospital such as in South Papua and Papua Mountains. With more hospitals built in Papua, it is hoped that the people of Papua will find it easier to access the health and medical service. (ad/rz/pr/nm)
