Inp.polri.go.id – Papua. Papua Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Mathius D. Fakhiri says that there will be an open recruitment for 2,000 police members from Papua. Fakhiri conveys there are new regulations for the open recruitment in Papua, where there are special quotas for them as police need more force for the Three New Autonomous Region.
Chief Fakhiri says that the new regulation is also because police want the new member of police are those who originally came from the region, including in the cities/regencies where they were born.
“Because I want those who grew up from Papua can finally become the police for their own region,” said Fakhiri.
The Chief of Papua Regional Police wants the new Papuan police to not think about being transferred to another region anymore. As in the future, they will be on duties in Papua until they retire.
