inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. Dogiyai Sub-regional Police patrol was attacked by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) while patrolling around Kali Tuka, Dogiyai Regency, Friday (5/23/2025) morning.

"KKB shot at police officers who were on patrol using air rifles and threw stones and showered them with arrows," said Dogiai Sub-regional Police Chief, Police Assistant Superintendent Mince Mayor, quoted by Antaranews.

He explained that the patrol was carried out as on Thursday (5/22/2025) there was a shooting at a vehicle going through the Nabire-Paniai route.

"There were no fatalities in the incident, but in the afternoon when officers tried to open the electric pole, they were suddenly attacked with arrows, causing one officer to be injured. A police member was injured in the thigh from being hit by an arrow," said Mince Mayor.

When asked which KKB group carried out the attack, the Dogiai Sub-regional Police Chief said that the perpetrators were KKB members from Dogiyai IX Command.

"Currently, members are asked to be alert and vigilant against various possible actions carried out by KKB," said the Police Chief.
