Polda Banten Continues to Monitor The Return Flow of Sumatra from the Bakauheuni Port

inp.polri.go.id - The Banten Regional Police (Polda Banten) continue to monitor the mobility of the returnflow on the D+1 of Eid al-Fitr 1443 H holiday from Bakauheuni Port, Lampung. Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Banten, Commissioner Shinto Bina Gunawan Silitonga, S.I.K., M.Sc., said that according to the data received from ASDP Bakauheni Port, there are 32 units of ships with 97 trips from Monday (2/5/) to Tuesday (3/5). "According to the latest data, travelers from Bakauheni Port who arrived at Merak Port were 29,674 passengers. For the pedestrians, we have prepared buses at Merak Terminal Bus to various cities in Java," said Kabid Humas Polda Banten when interviewed by Poskota, Tuesday (03/05/2022). Kabid Humas of Polda Banten conveyed that number of vehicles from Bakauheni Port to Merak Port, for motorbikes are as many as 1,028, and for cars are as many as 4,345. For the public transportation such as the buses are as many as 176 units and, the trucks are as many as 350 units. The total is about 5,800 units of vehicles. Regarding the mobility of vehicles from the Cikupa toll gate exit towards Jakarta are as many as 22,630 vehicles, down 35%. "For vehicles that enter from the Merak toll gate towards Jakarta are as many as 3,314 vehicles, down 31% from the 4,775 vehicles," said Kabid Humas Polda Banten. He added that Polda Banten continued to monitor the return flow and prepare services and security post for travelers who would return via Merak Port.
