South Sumatra Police Chief Explained The Cause of Accident at Jalinsum Muratara

inp.polri.go.id -  The traffic accident that killed four people on the Sumatran Cross Road (Jalinsum) of North Musi Rawas Regency (Muratara), South Sumatra (Sumsel) during the Lebaran homecoming flow, should became a lesson for the local police. Quoted from the official page of the Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the National Police (Polri), Tuesday (3/5/2022), South Sumatra Police Chief (Kapolda Sumsel), Inspector General Drs. Toni Harmanto, M.H., reminded travelers to pay more attention to their health to avoid unwanted incidents. In addition to the four people who died, his party noted that there was one seriously injured person who was still undergoing treatment at the local community health center. The victims are a passenger of a pickup truck that collided with an intercity-interprovincial bus while passing through Jalinsum of Rantau Jaya Village, Karang Jaya District, Muratara Regency on Friday (29/4/2022). The four victims are DR (25) who is the pickup truck driver and three bus passangers, MY (30), D (3) and MAS (53). Then the injured victim was IN (11), who suffered a broken hand and was treated at the Karang Jaya Health Center. The police chief stated that the accident was allegedly caused by the driver being tired, that caused the truck moved to the opposite lane and collided with each other. This case is now is being investigated further by officers. "So I think, in this year’s homecoming flow, there is nothing that stands out except the accident at Jalinsum Muratara," said Kapolda Sumsel.
