inp.polri.go.id - Takengon. The Indonesian National Police (INP) and the community continue to demonstrate a strong collaboration and concern in accelerating post-disaster recovery in Rusip Antara District, Central Aceh Regency.

Personnel from the Aceh Regional Police Mobile Brigade Corps carried out a joint effort to fill gabion as a support for an emergency bridge in Pilar Village on Saturday (January 17, 2026).

The emergency bridge was built to connect Pilar Village with two other villages: Pilar Wih Kiri Village and Tirmiara Village.

Previously, the main connecting bridge was washed away and severely damaged by floods and landslides that struck the area on November 26, 2025, cutting off transportation access and hampering community activities.

Central Aceh Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Muhamad Taufiq, stated that the presence of the Indonesian National Police (INP) among the community is not only to maintain security, but also to ensure that the community does not struggle alone in the difficult post-disaster situation.

"We have experienced firsthand the hardships faced by the people when the main access road is cut off. Children have difficulty getting to school, garden produce is hampered in transporting to the market, and daily necessities are hard to come by. Therefore, we are here not only to work, but also to share in the hardship and work together with the community," said the Police Chief.

Taufiq emphasized that this emergency bridge plays a vital role as the lifeline of the people, especially in supporting mobility, the economy, and social services between villages.

"This bridge may be an emergency, but the community's hopes must not be stifled. With unity and a spirit of mutual cooperation, we are optimistic that this access will help people to return to their normal lives as usual," he added.

Taufiq also assured that his party will continue to support post-disaster infrastructure recovery efforts and maintain security and the smooth flow of community activities in the Rusip Antara area.

Through this mutual cooperation activity, INP and the community reaffirm their commitment to mutual assistance and strengthening social solidarity, so that the post-disaster recovery process in the Rusip Antara District can proceed more quickly, safely, and sustainably.
