inp.polri.go.id - Pemalang. Pemalang Sub-regional Police warned livestock farmers and traders to be vigilant against sacrificial animal theft ahead of Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijri.

Pemalang Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Eko Sunaryo said that his party is intensifying visits to livestock pens and sacrificial animal traders' stalls to be vigilant for sacrificial animal theft.

"In addition to increasing patrols, today we visited livestock pens and stalls of cattle, goat, and buffalo traders in Beji Subdistrict and Taman Village, Taman District," he said in Pemalang, Wednesday (6/4/2025).

According to him, his party assigned police ranks to visit livestock pens and stalls of animal traders to prevent sacrificial animal theft.

"We urge farmers and traders to lock and provide sufficient lighting in livestock pens so that they can be monitored and are safer," he said.

Eko Sunaryo said the activity was one of the preemptive and preventive efforts to reduce crime rates, especially livestock theft ahead of Eid al-Adha.

"With the presence of police members in the community, we hope that the community can feel safe and calm in carrying out Eid al-Adha,” appealed Eko.
