inp.polri.go.id - Banten. The Banten Regional Police's Criminal Investigation Directorate arrested a man with the initials IS (36) after sexually assaulting his underage stepdaughter. The incident occurred in February 2023 at the victim's mother's rented house in Waringinkurung District, Serang Regency.
"Initially, around February 2023, the victim downloaded the LITMACH application. Then, the victim met an unknown person on the LITMACH application, whom the victim called a MAFIA BOSS. From the LITMACH application, the conversation continued on WhatsApp, and the unknown person asked the victim for a date," explained Head of Sub-Directorate 4 for Child Protection, Police Senior Inspector Herlia Hatarani, Tuesday (8/12/2025).
Herlia explained that the victim was threatened by the perpetrator to send a nude video of her.
"Then, out of fear, the victim sent the nude video to the unknown person," said Herlia.
After the victim complied with the perpetrator's demands, she said, the victim was asked to send money. However, because the victim didn't have any money, the perpetrator ordered her to make a video of herself having sex with her own father.
Several days later, she explained, an unknown person threatened to distribute the video and asked the victim to transfer money. The victim refused because she didn't have the money.
"Then the unknown person told the victim to make a video of herself having sex with her father. Out of fear, the victim finally contacted IS, the victim's stepfather, via WhatsApp and told him that he had been told to make a video of himself having sex with his father," said Police Commissioner Herlia.
Enraged, the father denied the request and promised to send the unknown person the money. The victim finally sent IS the unknown person's number two days later.
Then, that evening, the unknown person again asked for a nude video of the victim, which she then sent.
The unknown person then continued pressing IS and his step-daughter to make a video of them having a sex, which IS finally agreed due to him not having any money.
A few days later, IS again asked the victim to commit immoral acts, saying that he was asked to make another video by the unknown person. The next day, IS returned home and again committed sexual intercourse and/or indecent acts against the victim in the living room.
According to the police, approximately 20 indecent acts occurred between 2023 and 2025. After the sexual intercourse, the victim was given money ranging from Rp 100,000 to Rp 250,000.
The perpetrator was charged under Article 81 in conjunction with Article 76D and/or Article 82 in conjunction with Article 76E of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection, which carries a minimum prison sentence of five years and a maximum of 15 years.
