Inp.polri.go.id – North Kalimantan. The North Kalimantan Regional Police Marine and Air Directorate thwarted the drug flow from Tawau Malaysia to Tarakan City on Wednesday (2/7/2024). Police uncover the case after receiving a report that there will be drug smuggling of methamphetamine from Tawau Malaysia to Tarakan through waters. Hearing the news, police immediately dispatched their unit to patrol the area around Juata Laut waters. During the patrol, they saw a suspicious man with a bag. The police approached and questioned the man with the initials of MY and found the bag containing five boxes. Later on, the box turns out to have methamphetamine hidden in a cigarette box. The suspect was then arrested by the police and moved to North Kalimantan Regional Police HQ for further questioning. (ad/ek/pr/nm)
