inp.polri.go.id - The police arrested the six perpetrators who stabbed a victim at the Teras Rimbun Jamboree Street, Cibubur Village, Ciracas, East Jakarta. The tragic incident happened on Saturday (10/29). The assault is also went viral on social media.
Head of Unit 3 Mobile Investigation of General Criminal Investigation Directorate of Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Widy Irawan explained, the incident started when the victim who was hanging out with his friends was approached by several unknown perpetrators.
“However, while on their way back home, the victim met another group who suddenly attacked them. The number of perpetrators is estimated to be 13 people using 7 vehicles," explained Commissioner Widy Irawan, quoted from sabangmeraukenews.com, Thursday (11/17).
He added that because they were outnumbered, the victim and his colleagues fled. However, the perpetrators continued to pursue and managed to stabbed around the knee or leg of the victim. The victim then fell and was beaten to death.
“After that, the perpetrators immediately ran away. The police who received the report immediately launched an investigation. We managed to secure 5 sickles that were used in the assault," said Commissioner Widy Irawan.
Furthermore, the perpetrators are now being detained at Metro Jaya Police. They were charged under Article 170 and Article 351 of the Criminal Code which carry a maximum prison sentence of 13 years.
