Inp.polri.go.id - Putussiabau. The Kapuas Hulu Sub-regional Police in West Kalimantan, have arrested a man suspected in the case of a woman who was found dead from gunshot wounds in Pinang Laka Village, Kapuas Hulu regency.
Kapuas Hulu Police Chief Superintendent Hendrawan, confirmed the arrest on Monday night (15/4/2024).
"A man has been arrested, but we are still conducting further investigation," he said, as reported by antaranews.com
The death of Erni Fatmawati (42) shocked Kapuas Hulu residents and went viral.
Her body was discovered on Nanga Lidau Hamlet Road. Days later, locals and police found a homemade firearm nearby.
Preliminary investigations suggest her death wasn't a robbery, as her belongings were intact.
Fatmawati was buried in Sengkalu Hamlet Cemetery.
The arrested man's name has not been released; he remains under investigation
