inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Yogyakarta Regional Police closed down 38 shops or illegal liquor beverages in several regions in the province. From the banning of the dozens of illegal liquor shops, police on October 31st, 2024 have seized 2,883 illegal alcoholic beverages.
Through a coordination meeting of several agencies throughout Yogyakarta, his party has formulated a monitoring mechanism after the closure of the illegal liquor stores.
"What we are concerned now is a new illegal method of selling the beverages following this raid, conducting sales in ways that are out of the ordinary," said the two-star general.
In accordance with the Governor's Instruction (Ingub) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Number 5 of 2024, his party will ensure that there are no online sales of alcoholic beverages, including the delivery service system.
He said that the information technology (IT) team from the Yogyakarta Regional Police and the Regional Government will collaborate to monitor the potential for alcoholic beverages online sales.
"If there is any information, please let us know too, the public should be informed too, report to us if anyone buys (the beverages) online so that we know which store is selling it," he explained.
