Inp.polri.go.id - Surakarta. The Surakarta Sub-regional Police deployed a water-bombing helicopter on Friday (4/9/2026), to assist ground firefighters in extinguishing a persistent three-day blaze at the Putri Cempo Landfill in Jebres, Surakarta, Central Java.

Operating between 10 am and 11.,40 am, the police helicopter conducted 14 aerial water drops on inaccessible fire hotspots using water collected from the Bengawan Solo River.

"Today's response focused on water bombing operations because certain areas remain inaccessible to ground fleets," Surakarta Environmental Agency Head Herwin Tri Nugroho said.
